Mosaic workshops in the Tropical Museum in Amsterdam are with women who are immigrants from Turkey and Morocco. "The mosaic would be a statement of these women, giving them a voice, talking about where they come from and expressing their power".

Based on the Moroccan style of decorating stairs, the stair rises were inlaid with different motifs, each referring to the background of the maker. Children were joined by their mothers and workers of the center.
