Diversity is an integral part of almost every facet of upper school life and it begins with our students. The admissions office is committed to building a community of students from various ethnic, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds as well as kids with wide-ranging interest, talents, and abilities. The diversity of our student body is clearly reflected in our curriculum and our extracurricular program. Our course of studies covers an array of diversity-related topics that will allow students to explore the full range of their academic interest including forays into community service, ethics, and social justice. Many of our student clubs and organizations have a multicultural focus especially, Students United for Multicultural Education (S.U.M.E.), which acts as an umbrella organization for some of our student affinity groups. Finally, the upper school has a full-time diversity coordinator, whose primary focus is student support
