At a Glance

  • FEP has been serving the broader Fieldston public school community since 1971.
  • More than 90 percent of FEP graduates attend college preparatory high schools, public, independent and parochial.
  • Approximately one-third of FEP students come from single parent families.
  • Approximately one-third of FEP students come from families receiving public assistance funds or are living at or below the federal poverty line.
  • FEP students come from the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn public middle schools.
  • FEP pedagogical lead staff is licensed, NYC & NYS certified educators and/or administrators with more than 20 years of experience in the public school system and FEP.
  • Teaching assistants understudy and support all pedagogical staff.
  • Closely associated with the A Better Chance College Preparatory School Program.
  • FEP 2010 graduates will attend seven different independent schools:
    The Hackley School, Deerfield Academy, Horace Mann School and three outside of NYC, A Better Chance/ Community School Program in Fayette Ville Manlius, Syracuse,NY; Strath Haven, PA; Radnor, Pa.
