Library Information for EC Parents

We welcome parents to the library and have posted the open hours for parents on our door and on this site (see sidebar).

Please read the Library Philosophy for more information about our approach to meeting your child’s reading and information needs.

The Library Committee

The Library Committee is a great way to get involved with the Ethical Culture Library. The committee is composed of interested parents who help with annual projects and/or provide weekly hands-on help. Volunteers are needed throughout the year for a wide array of activities: processing new books, re-shelving materials, assisting with inventory taking, and book covering.

In addition, volunteers staff the annual Book Swap, where students can exchange their previously read books with classmates, and the ongoing Sponsor-a-Book project, which supports the library. The librarians welcome your participation.
