At Ethical Culture Fieldston School, we strive to create a welcoming admissions process for all prospective students and families and to educate them on the distinctions of an ECFS education.

Honored by the charge of helping to build a community that reflects the mission of our school, we believe academic excellence can only be achieved with a population rich in intellectual, artistic, athletic, empathetic and activist qualities as well as diversity of ancestry, family, identity, culture and belief.

We hope that when you visit ECFS you will see a progressive learning community that aspires to educate the mind and the heart in ways that transform individuals and that you will be inspired by this institution’s mission, values, commitment to excellence and, above all, its students and faculty.

There are four primary entry points for our school --- Pre-K and Kindergarten, 6th grade and 9th grade.  We have a strong commitment to making an ECFS education affordable to families from a broad range of economic situations.  About 22% of our students receive financial assistance.

Every fall, we look forward to meeting prospective students and families, and to talking with them about their educational goals. We look forward to learning about yours, and can't wait to see you on campus.
