Women’s Suffrage
The Women’s
Rights movement in London really began in 1832 when the suffragettes
first fought for the right to vote. The women in London set the ball
rolling and initiated the women’s movement in Europe. In addition
to fighting for the right to vote, women fought for control over their
assets and divorce law among many other things. Unfortunately, women
often had to promote their differences during these struggles rather
than trying to minimize the differences between men and women. |
