Vienna D-Band 2004

Vienna, a city known for its backwards, central oriented activity was a cultural warehouse for more than a century. An amalgam of architecture, modern thought and a monarchy that maintained power for longer than those of London or Paris, Vienna seemed invincible. Unfortunately it failed to sustain itself with the advent of two World Wars in the 20th century. Today it remains a city teeming with the history of the modern era shrouded by the shadow of World War II.
