Apollonian and Dionysian

Apollonian and Dionysian are descriptions of different ways of thinking, derived from classical mythological origins. Apollonian—from the Greek god Apollo of the sun—implies on a basic level using your brain: rationality, reason, and classical idealism are all characteristic of Apollonian thought. Dionysian thought refers to the Greek god Dionysus (god of wine), and implies thinking passionately, emotionally, or romantically.
