Conclusion
Although some may argue otherwise, Debussy is a true impressionist;
if for the most obvious fact that his music directly reflects other
mediums of art created by impressionists. Debussy was a revolutionary
in his field. He used chords, harmonies, scales, and dissonance
in ways they hadnt previously been explored. Debussy was inspired
by many artists of the impressionistic time, including Mallarme,
Verlaine, Turner, Hokusa, Monet, and others. Debussy was a brilliant
whose work was both ahead of his time as well as a reflection of
the current progressive movement called impressionism.
