Fieldston News

Want to keep up with Fieldston Upper? Check out The Fieldston News.  Founded in 1928, the year that Fieldston’s Riverdale campus opened, The Fieldston News is the upper school’s official newspaper. The publication is entirely student-run, with graphics and printing assistance from the Graphic Communications Department.

The News covers a wide range of school-related matters, from reports on the latest assemblies to updates from the athletic fields and art studios. In addition, the paper offers a lively running commentary on the world outside the school, with political opinion pieces, music reviews, stories on various New York City neighborhoods, and more.

You can now enjoy the student writing and editorial and design work showcased in The Fieldston News online; click here for a link to the latest issue, and check back again soon to stay up-to-date on life at the school. In addition, you can read a high-spirited non-linear history of The Fieldston News, which appeared in the spring 2009 issue of the ECF Reporter, featuring an abundance of news stories and images from the ECF archives, as well as alumni memories from across the decades.
