Capital Campaign Comes to a Successful Conclusion
May 14, 2009
Dear Fieldston Community,
We are pleased to announce the success of our Promises to Keep capital campaign and to share that our campaign fundraising efforts will formally conclude on June 30, 2009.
Together with the help of over 375 donors and volunteers, we have transformed the Ethical Culture Fieldston School. Our 48,000 square-foot “green” middle school nurtures the educational and developmental needs of our sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The performing arts program has been enriched with renovated rehearsal spaces and dance, music, theater classrooms. Our new athletics complex was most recently host to one of the most exciting basketball seasons, as well as the games of 65 other teams and classes. Hopefully, you have been able to participate in event in the new student commons or dining hall, or stopped into the new admissions suite.
In 2004, the board of trustees unanimously approved the strategic and fundraising priorities of Promises to Keep. As campaign co-chairs, we are so proud of all that this community has accomplished together just five years later.
We are grateful to all of those parents, alumni, faculty and staff who have partnered with us in the planning, execution and support of this transformative undertaking. Without your help, we would not have been able to reach these ambitious goals. The past five years have been a critical time for growth for Fieldston, and your participation helped advance the school’s mission and revitalize our campus. We look forward to recognizing your gift in a permanent way on the Fieldston campus.
Sincerely,
Laura Jacobs Blankfein ‘71 and Robert A. Pruzan ‘81
