Dear ECF Community,
I am pleased to announce that we are partnering with the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City and NYC Service, as well as local independent schools, to get critically needed items to the hardest hit areas in New York post-Sandy. The Mayor’s Fund, in collaboration with NYC Service and the Fund for Public Schools, will also let us know how ECF can continue to serve our neighboring public schools in the coming weeks and months, as we are committed to being part of the ongoing assistance and recovery efforts.
In the immediate term, we will be collecting the following items tomorrow, 11/7, and Thursday, 11/8, all identified by the Mayor’s Office as critically needed:
- Baby supplies: Baby wipes, baby clothes, baby food and formula, diapers
- Cleaning supplies: Bleach, anti-bacterial spray, paper towels, sturdy garbage bags, work gloves
- Toiletries: Toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, etc.
- School Supplies: Backpacks, crayons, markers, pencils, notebooks, etc.
- Winter gear: Hats, gloves, scarves, socks
- Essentials: Batteries (C & D), lanterns, flashlights
