The Fieldston swim team just capped off a historic season. At the Ivy League Championships, the girls finished sixth overall and the boys secured third place for the first time since at least 1992 (when our record-keeping began). This was achieved with a promising freshmen lineup, as well as by the development of our older swimmers.

Fieldston swim boasted impressive relay lineups this year, with the boys breaking all three relay records. The medley lineup of Dylan Porges '19, Marco de Angelis '18, Grayson Cullen '18, and Gabe Hostin '20 improved their relay record at the Ivy League Championships by two seconds. This was complemented by powerful 200- and 400-meter freestyle relays featuring underclassmen Tanner Vales '20 and Ari Rosenstein '21.

While we excelled at these sprints, the team also solidified their long-distance freestyle lineups this year, featuring finalists in the 200- and 500-meter free, led by the Porges brothers and David Pitt '19. Dylan Porges also claimed the Ivy League championship in the 100-meter butterfly, setting a record in the process for the second time this year. Dylan was not alone. Marco de Angelis also claimed a new school record in the 100-meter breaststroke.

These records were supplemented nicely with a handful of A-Finalists, including Stella Chukwulozie '21 (third overall in the 100-meter breaststroke), Grayson Cullen (fifth overall in the 100-meter butterfly), Ari Rosenstein (sixth overall in the 100-meter butterfly), Gabe Hostin (fifth overall in the 100-meter freestyle), and David Porges (fourth and sixth in the 500- and 200-meter freestyle, respectively), among others.
