Fieldston Lower's after-school program provides comprehensive intellectual, aesthetic, and physical activities that stem from the school’s belief in progressive education and learning.
The after-school program (K-5) is divided into two semesters—fall and spring. The fall semester begins Wednesday, September 12, 2018, and ends Friday, February 1, 2019. The spring semester begins Monday, February 4, and ends Monday, June 10, 2019. The after-school program meets between 3:20 and 6:00 pm, observes all school holidays, and is closed on days with noon dismissals. Participating students come to the cafeteria at the end of the school day. A healthy snack is provided as they await their course instructors. Many courses include 15 to 30 minutes of outdoor time, or indoor play, as part of the curriculum. This provides an opportunity for students to socialize and return to classes with renewed energy and focus.
A Late Bus will be offered departing Fieldston Lower and arriving at the Ethical Culture Campus on provisional basis this fall. The details and cost related to this service are still being developed and we will be in touch with interested families following registration. If you are interested in this service, please click yes on the registration form.
