Families from all ECFS divisions are invited to volunteer together with the non-profit food rescue organization Grassroots Grocery on Saturday 9/27 from 9:00am to approximately 10:30am. Volunteers will help unload a truck full of fresh fruit and vegetables rescued from a local produce market, and then sort, pack, and load the items into delivery vehicles. Families can also opt into driving and delivering food to a nearby community site afterwards. Those who deliver to a community site will complete their commitment around 12:00pm.
