As part of Fieldston Upper’s Alternative Learning As part of Fieldston Upper’s Alternative Learning Programs, or ALPs, in May, a group of students created a large-scale collaborative relief print of the Fieldston Quad! To create the collograph plate, students used a variety of materials such as chipboard, tape, sandpaper and crumpled paper to create different textures. To create the 44” x 62” final print, the students and faculty enlisted one of Fieldston’s tractors, driven by a member of our Facilities team, to ensure that there was enough weight for the ink to transfer! The final image offers a remarkable testament to collaboration, creativity, and the experiential learning that ECFS students do!
