On January 9, 2020, ECFS invited Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch from Stephen Wise Free Synagogue and Rabbi Joshua Davidson from Temple Emanu-El to share their perspectives about anti-Semitism historically, the Holocaust, and the resurgence of anti-Semitism in the United States and globally. Rabbi Hirsch and Rabbi Davidson also offered their thoughts about how the Jewish community is experiencing, thinking about, and grappling with these issues and navigating differences in perspective within the community in the current historical moment. At the conclusion of their remarks, students participated in ECFSâ anti-bias Community Curriculum, which was adapted from the Anti-Defamation Leagueâs education materials to provide context for how forms of oppression escalate.
