On a crisp Friday night in November, the Fieldston campus was the place to be for any Fieldston Middle student. The School hosted a special social event filled with games, dancing, a film screening, and many, many pizzas.

Students from the Fieldston Middle Student Leadership Club planned the schedule for the evening, which included multiple activities spread across several locations on campus. In the Student Commons, students laughed along to “Legally Blonde.” For those who wanted to get their heart rates up while bonding with their classmates, the JV Gym played host to a few rounds of basketball. Last — but certainly not least — the Fieldston Middle DJ Club transformed the first floor Agora into a miniature dance club — filling the room with wonderful music and incredible energy.

Throughout the evening, students were free to roam between the various activities, catching a scene of the movie before shaking it out for a song or two in the Agora. For those ready for a break from the action, the Quad was the perfect place to rest, eat some pizza, and enjoy the cool fall evening.

The social offered Fieldston Middle students a long-awaited evening of all-out fun. Over 200 students attended the event, filling the campus with laughter, cheering, music — the sounds of joy.

“Students are craving social interaction, and this was far and away the highest turnout I have seen since joining ECFS,” says Jon Alschuler, Interim Fieldston Middle Principal.
