October at ECFS 🧡 This month, ECFS Eagles head October at ECFS 🧡

This month, ECFS Eagles headed off-campus on experiential learning trips, made exciting discoveries in the classroom, and stretched our creative muscles. All school celebrations
brought our community closer together, and we were filled with Eagle pride as we celebrated our incredible student athletes and alumni at Homecoming 2025. We can’t wait to do it again (and again and again!)
For Noah T. Parnes ’17, the Fieldston Theatre an For Noah T. Parnes ’17, the Fieldston Theatre and Dance department felt like a second home and artistic haven.

Now, as Fieldston Upper prepares to perform his newest work, “It’ll Come Together,” commissioned as this year’s Fall Drama, he’s reminiscing on his time at Fieldston, his collaboration with current students, and what it means to write about “theatre kids” in the place where you were one.

Stay tuned for the full video in ECFS’s October edition of Fieldnotes, coming tomorrow!
Fieldston Upper 10th graders recently returned fro Fieldston Upper 10th graders recently returned from their class trip to the greater Boston area, a hands-on learning experience that brought to life concepts they’ve studied in English and History classes.

Students were asked to create a “people’s history” to present to their classmates as the group toured historically significant locations ranging from Walden Pond to the Old South Meeting House. Rather than only focusing on key dates and historical battles, this project challenges students to dig into stories that mainstream history might forget or deliberately exclude. In doing so, they combine rigorous research with empathetic storytelling – a true progressive education experience!
This week, our Eagle Eye correspondents Lulu D. ’26 and Mika R. ’26 are taking us behind the scenes of Fieldston Upper’s Spirit Week! 🧡🦅

In the lead-up to Homecoming last Saturday, students showed off their school spirit with a variety of themed days throughout the week. Our students’ commitment and the outpouring of Eagle pride set the tone for a joyful Homecoming weekend, and we loved seeing our community celebrate the day!
