Dear ECFS community,

The 2022–2023 academic year was filled with the academic growth, curiosity, exploration, new beginnings, and generosity that defines our School. Founded on these principles 145 years ago, the Ethical Culture Fieldston School continues to uphold the values of our founder Felix Adler and the mission of the School. Thank you for embracing our community and serving as our partners in this day-to-day growth and exploration of curricula and culture.

Your investment in and involvement with ECFS made it possible for our students to delve deeper into their studies and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Your generous philanthropic gifts, volunteering efforts, and participation in a multitude of events illustrate your unwavering commitment to and engagement with the School and our students.

This enthusiastic dedication is reflected in your overwhelming support of ECFS. As you will see in the 2022–2023 ECFS Annual Report, everyone — parents/guardians, alumni, grandparents, parents of graduates, faculty/staff, and friends — came together as donors, doers, advocates, and partners to make our work successful. The School received more than $5.9 million in philanthropic gifts to the Orange Fund and other special initiatives — surpassing our fundraising goal.

Your generosity makes the ECFS vision a reality for many, developing lifelong curiosity and empowering ethical learners who will change the world. With the help of our collective community, we welcomed the Class of 2023 into the worldwide alumni community of 10,000 alumni who are working hard each day to make a difference in the world.

We invite you to join us as we continue to explore, reflect, and discover how the ECFS community helps shape the next generation of ethical leaders. We are profoundly grateful for your trust in our School and for your dedication and generosity. Thank you for your continued partnership.

With deep appreciation,
